Motion Graphics Course Online: What Works, What Does Not and How to Choose

Yes. Many of our students do. We teach live online students in other Indian cities and abroad. They finish with the same showreel as classroom students. What decides the result is not the internet. It is whether a trainer watches your timeline.

Motion graphics lives in small details: a title that eases in two frames too slowly, a logo that bounces without weight, text that fights the music. A recorded video cannot see that in your work. A live trainer can. It takes a minute to fix. That is why we tell online learners to pay for feedback, not for hours of video.

   The trainer should see your After Effects screen. Talking over slides is not enough.

   Illustrator and Photoshop first, then InDesign and fast tools like Affinity by Canva. Good motion starts with a good frame.

   Keyframes, the graph editor, shape layers, text animators, masks, tracking and expressions basics.

   Cut the edit, sync sound and export for Reels, YouTube and ads.

   AI images, AI video clips and AI-made 3D elements, animated and finished by you in After Effects.

   At least 8 to 10 projects and a 60 to 90 second reel by the end.

After Effects is heavier than most editing apps. It renders every layer, effect and frame. A machine that edits simple Reels may still struggle with a 20-layer animation.

• Logo animation (5 to 8 seconds) for a real or practice brand.
• Kinetic typography set to a short voice-over or song line.
• Instagram Reel ad for a product, with price and offer animated.
• Explainer of 30 to 45 seconds with icons and simple characters.
• AI 3D element animation: a product made with an AI 3D tool, animated in After Effects and finished in Premiere Pro.

CABA does not teach 3D software like Blender or Cinema 4D. The 3D comes from AI tools and is animated in After Effects, as we show in 3D motion graphics with AI and After Effects.

Employers look at your showreel, not where you sat. On 11 October 2026 Internshala listed 31 fresher motion graphics jobs in Delhi^[1]. Three of them, in our own words (company names left out):

• Motion graphics intern, Delhi (3 months). Photoshop, video editing, video making and animation. Stipend shown: ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 a month, with a job offer of up to ₹3 lakh a year after the internship.
• Associate video editor, Delhi and Noida. No experience required. Premiere Pro, After Effects and AI video generation. Pay shown: ₹2 to 3 lakh a year.
• Junior video editor, AI and creative content, Delhi NCR (hybrid). No experience required. Premiere Pro, After Effects, storyboarding and animation. Pay shown: ₹4.8 to 8 lakh a year.

The table shows what we see for our own students in Delhi NCR. Job posts sometimes show more, but plan with these figures. Read is motion graphics a good career for the longer view.

In June 2026 Adobe brought its AI assistant to Premiere (public beta) and After Effects (private beta)^[2]. In Premiere it can sort clips into bins, rename them and build a starting edit. Designers also use AI image and video tools for backgrounds, textures and quick 3D elements.

What stays human: the idea, the storyboard, the timing to music, the brand rules and the final polish frame by frame. AI saves hours on the boring parts. It cannot tell when an animation feels right.
