Video Editing Course Online: How to Pick One That Gets You Hired (2026)

Shoot on your phone if you like, but edit on the computer. Studios and agencies hire people who can work in Premiere Pro and After Effects, so that is where your practice hours should go.

Yes. Employers rarely ask where you learned. They open your showreel. On 10 October 2026 Internshala listed 108 fresher video editing vacancies in Delhi^[1]. Three of them, in our own words (company names left out):

• Junior video editor for AI and creative content, Delhi NCR (hybrid). Edit videos with Premiere Pro and After Effects, plan with storyboards, make graphics in Canva. No experience required. Pay shown: ₹4.8 to 8 lakh a year.
• Video editor, Delhi and Noida. Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and promotional videos. Skills listed: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, videography. Pay shown: ₹2 to 3 lakh a year.
• Video editor, Faridabad and Delhi. Handle camera set-up, framing, lighting and audio, then edit in Premiere Pro. Pay shown: ₹3 to 4 lakh a year.

Notice the pattern: Premiere Pro everywhere, After Effects in most posts and a mix of shooting, graphics and AI content. An online course should cover the same list. Pay in a job post is what the company writes. Most freshers we see start lower, as the table below shows.
