Job Guarantee Courses in India After 12th: What the Guarantee Should Really Mean

A job guarantee course is a training course where the institute takes responsibility for your first job. If you complete the course and meet the written conditions, it provides a paid job or paid internship in your field within a set time. If it cannot, it returns your fee.

That is different from placement assistance, where the institute shares openings and arranges interviews but promises nothing. Both can be useful. They are not the same thing, so read which one you are buying.

Most job guarantee courses are short, skill-based programmes: graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, digital marketing and some finance and IT skills. • How long? A clear time limit, such as within 3 months of finishing the course.
• What if it fails? A full refund, with a written time frame for paying it back.
• What must you do? Attendance, projects, portfolio and attending interviews are fair conditions. Vague ones such as "good behaviour" are not.
• Which formats carry it? Some institutes give the guarantee only on certain course types. Ask which one you are joining.
• Can you see proof? Ask to meet past students or see placed students' work, not only photos.
